Hi, I’m so glad your here! I’m Aimee, the owner of Esthetics by Aimee. I am a licensed Esthetician and Esthetics Instructor. I specialize in eyelash extensions, brow services, airbrush spray-tans, as well as makeup applications. My story starts with a love for the beauty industry at a young age. From doing my moms makeup for date night with her infomercial air-brush machine, to racking up the JCPenny’s card from my trips to Sephora. My makeup and skincare collection grew very quickly. I started getting lash extensions at the age of 16, after pleading with my parents that it was all “a necessity, just like my brother needed new cleats for football”. However, I knew I was going to have to find a way to make all of these “hobbies” of mine worth while. I started working as a receptionist at the salon that I had been getting my lashes done at in the summer of 2021. That decision changed my life more than I would have ever expected. I fell in love with the industry even more and felt like I had found my calling. I started working towards my esthetics license and completed my apprenticeship program at the Lash Spa in Brookings, in the Fall of 2022. From there, I was able to take my state board examination and jumped right into being a full-time service provider. I had always had a passion for teaching and loved the opportunities I was able to gain by completing an apprenticeship. Those things combined ultimately led me to get my instructor’s license and help graduate my first two apprentices from the program. All of this led me to open Esthetics By Aimee in the Summer of 2024. Coming to work everyday and being able to spend time with my clients, watching their confidence grow in the short amount of time it takes me to finish a service, makes my heart so happy. Continuing to grow and learn more about the industry keeps me excited and I can’t wait to see where this stage of my career takes me. I am so thankful I had the chance to take those hobbies and transform them into my dream job. I can’t wait to meet you and hear your story!🤍
